About Me

I’m Michelle Morales. I’m a professional salsa dancer, and over the years, I’ve become known for having a feminine, graceful technique, while staying true to my own self-possessed, natural stage presence and body movement. When I was three-years old, not long after I started walking, I started dancing. By 11, I was learning  salsa, and at 18 I was invited to join the world-renowned Yamulee Dance Company and train in New York City. I became a Yamulee principal dancer and spent five years training, traveling, and performing with the company to places like Japan, France, Croatia, and Australia. As an artist, I’ve had the opportunity to choreograph and dance in exciting projects with remarkable creators such as latin pop star Carlos Santana’s music video “Breaking Down The Door” and Univision’s 2020 season of the hit television show “Mira Quien Baila.” When I’m not teaching salsa online to my incredible students, I’m traveling around the world hosting classes and workshops and performing. I do solo performances and am currently partnered with competing world champion Brandon Ayala. It’s an adventure and a joy to share our passion and connect with audiences through dance.
